Hey,

I know I usually do this when I initially post the chapter, but it's better late than never, eh?

I realize that it has been an incredible long wait for this chapter, and for that I apologize. That ugly beast called Real Life seems to enjoy butting himself into things and intimidating my muse until she doesn't want to do anything. The good news is that I do have the next chapter started, so hopefully things won't take as long. I know that people want the updates, so that's one reason to keep going---besides the fact that I want to see where the story goes just as much as you do.

I would like to thank those that nominated Journey for the last IYFG term, although I didn't place in the voting. I appreciate that people enjoy my work enough to consider it worthy for awards and recognition. I don't write for that reason, but it's nice to see that from time to time.

Speaking of awards, the Maximum Challenge at MM.org has just announced its winners and I am thankful that Shake the Disease, from Songs of Faith and Devotion, placed third for Best Songfic. I am very proud of that story, and consider it my best completed effort of 2007. Hopefully I can actually get back to the next story in the series and finish it as I've meant to for some time. It's too bad I didn't place in the other categories I entered, but one placement is very rewarding.

Well, another chapter has been posted. Yay! And it was posted roughly a month after the last one! I do hope you'll all enjoy it. I had a tough time from time to time writing this one, but I think it turned out fairly alright. It is a bit longer than I had expected it to be when I started writing, but you know how that goes. I also hope that the return to Sess and Rin will make Sess/Rin fans happy.

I have to thank metsukikaraten for a few of the ideas within the chapter. I was stuck, and she helped me get unstuck, so that's good. I just hope you'll like the idea as much as I did

While I've been writing the latest Journey chapter, I have also been writing various drabbles. Check out Far Away Eyes Fairytales if you're interested in those. There are various pairings and genres for everyone to like and enjoy.

I'm also going to take a breather from Journey and write another Songs of Faith and Devotion songfic. I find them to be enjoyable to write, and I hope you'll find them enjoyable to read. That doesn't mean, however, that I won't be working on making notes and other things for Journey, or that I'm abandoning it! I hope that this one-shot won't take as long to write, but we shall see.

The Awards have come in for both the Feudal Association and IYFG for April and for the 1^st quarter. Journey took third place for Best Inu/Kag and Best In Character for Inuyasha at the Feudal Association. If you would like to see the awards, visit here.

Hey Reader,

It has been an impossibly long time since I last updated Journey, hasn't it? I do hope that this chapter will be worth the long wait, and that it won't be that long again between this chapter and the next. You can partially blame that on the fact that I spent a month working on a Sess/Rin one-shot entitled Child of the Moon. It's a song fic, and I'm glad that's its made it to the ballot in that category for Best Song Fic at the Guild. Membership is currently locked, so keep it in mind for the next quarter once the votes are tallied!

Journey has made it to the ballot for two categories as well: Best Crossover and Best Serial. I'm anxious to see how things will turn out there.

I also have a new job (well, I've had it for almost two and a half months now), that happens to be night shift, so I'm tired and busy. I still managed to get the chapter done, so it might be slow, but it'll get done eventually! I'm hoping the more I get used to my hours and schedule, the easier it'll be for me to fit in writing time that won't require huge amounts of editing.

Anyways, let's get to the review responses. Boy it's been awhile since I've done these!
