Journey: Chapter Eighty
Jan. 30th, 2010 09:29 pmHey,
Boy has it been a long time since I updated, eh? The past few months have been extremely busy---and considering the fact that I work in retail, it's no surprise. Now that we're entering the slower period, I actually managed to find the time to sit down and finish the latest chapter. I'm hoping that you'll enjoy it after the long delay.
In between the last chapter and this one, a few things have happened. At Eternal Destiny, Journey was named a Legend for Best Characterization: Inuyasha. I'm grateful to the site for even considering my story for such an honor. Who knew that when I started this it would end up winning such a place in the fandom?
I've gone back to the source, and I'm having a blast re-reading both Inuyasha and the Belgariad/Malloreon series. A lot of old and new ideas are bubbling to the surface and I'm looking forward to writing more chapters---hopefully at a quicker speed. All of the characters and plot lines are just as fresh as when I read them the first time. If you haven't read the Belgariad/Malloreon, or haven't read Inuyasha in awhile, I recommend that you do. My only lament? That there isn't a show/movie version of the Eddings work---although movies never live up to the original material. I guess I just see them so clearly in my mind.
I've also decided to open up requests. If there was something in the story you want a bit more expansion on, a behind the scenes one-shot, if you will, please let me know. I'll see what I can do with it. So far, doggieearlover has requested a one-shot with Sesshomaru calling Miroku out on his eavesdropping habit at the inn. Please, give me your requests and we can explore some between the lines.
Now, I'd like to get into the review responses:

( AFF )
That's all for now. I hope to have the next chapter much sooner, but we'll see.
